About Claire’s Jewelry & This Site
Hello everyone and thank you for visiting the site!
My unique jewelry is handmade from quality metals, stones and clay. Each individual piece incorporates organic shapes and nature inspired textures and colors. The copper and brass pieces are cut, hammered and then oxidized, giving them a rich, dark color. The ceramic pendants are handmade out of clay, glazed and fired stoneware to create a glossy “cabochon style” look. They are wire wrapped to secure the pendant. If there is something you like and would like to request an order, feel free to contact me via this site or my email clairesommersbuck@gmail.com. You can also visit my etsy shop at www.clairesommersbuck.etsy.com. Most designs can be altered depending on your preference.
Thanks again for visiting the site and your comments are always welcome. I’d love to hear from you!
Cheers, Claire

Hey Claire,
Your work is beautiful. I come to the Pottery Festival every year that I can. I would love to see what you can do with some “beads” or small pieces made from pottery. I have a spoon rest that I believe one of the Buck “kids” had made a few years back. A marble (I think) was placed in the center of it when it was fired, creating a very pretty design. The natural macrame would go well with something small fired the same way. A bracelet or necklace perhaps?

Clalire,
Beautiful necklaces! I am a old college friend of your parents; we have met a couple of times. I have two boys your age, Seaton and Ryan. In fact, you met my friend, the Spanish instructor, at A&M, Diane. Anyway I would like to purchase the burro and coin necklace. I love that necklace. I will be seeing your mom next week so before I leave to go back to Georgia maybe we could get together. I will definately tell my friends about your site. Vanessa

It was so great to meet you as well Ashley! I hope the show was a success for you. I absolutely loved it! If it’s alright, I’d like to add you to my contact list. I send updates about new work, shows, etc. I don’t do many so it wouldn’t be a ton of emails. Let me know if this is okay. Well, take care and hopefully we’ll run into eachother again sometime.

That would be great Claire! I’m kicking myself now for not getting myself a piece of your parents pottery. I can’t wait to get back to Gruene.
